We take 20 alternators with 50kw, 400v, 1500rpm and 50Hz. These alternators are then connected in parallel to give approx 1000kw but still 400v. A step up transformer is the used to step up the voltage to 11kv for transmission. 

With this set up can we really say we have created an approx 1MW power station? 

Can you indicate some errors which i may have made on that system. The condition is that we only can use 50kw or at most 100kw alternators  and not a single 1MW alternator.]]></description>
